The success of the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City (RDA) is credited to our great team of professionals who not only seek to improve their own work on a daily basis, but also realize the importance of keeping our procedures and office running smoothly. Recently we had a job opening for a Staff Accountant to help take on these duties, and are pleased to announce that Kalli Ruiz will be filling that role.

Ruiz rejoins the RDA after working in Salt Lake City government for many years, most recently with the City’s Housing & Neighborhood Development Division.

“It’s great to have her back,” says Amanda Holty, RDA Communications and Outreach Manager. “Given the highly complex nature of the tax increment funding used in RDA projects, Kalli’s base knowledge of City processes will allow her to hit the ground running.

Kalli’s experience with the RDA began in office administration and accounting in 2011 when she supported management, assisted in public outreach, and put her incredible organizational skills to work handling department-wide scheduling like a pro, among many other duties. She is currently working towards her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a project management certification at the University of Phoenix.

She is looking forward to this new opportunity and working with former RDA coworkers and adds, “The contribution that the RDA makes in Salt Lake City is undeniable. I grew up here, so I am always amazed by its rapid growth. I truly love to spend my time downtown as much as I can. I have always been a fan of RDA work, and so happy to dive back in.”

Outdoorsy and adventurous, Kalli could spend all of the spring, summer, and fall outside. She is a diehard for anything on the water, and an avid baseball and football watcher. Special note (save this for later): she will NEVER turn down an opportunity to Karaoke.

Kalli is a kind soul, with a spark. She maintains an artillery of sassy comments that she can throw into a challenging situation to simultaneously evoke laughter while also imparting a sense of calm.  Needless to say, she’s a team player who we’re looking forward to working with again!
